FAQ's

  • Public Housing

    1. I have heard that One Minto includes public housing. What proportion of the homes will be public housing homes?

Of the total 1150 homes, 30% (350 homes) will be public housing homes. These will be scattered across the whole development, and this proportion will vary between different stages.

    2. How can I tell which homes are the public housing homes?

The public housing homes are identified on the masterplan which is on display in the marketing suite.

    3. Will the public housing homes look different to the privately owned homes?

All public homes will be architecturally designed, just as the private homes will be. This will ensure that the different homes are integrated so that the homes are integrated and fit in with the look and feel of the all the homes at One Minto. Some of the existing public housing homes will be retained and substantially renovated.

    4. Has this mix of public and private housing been successfully integrated before?

The normal situation in just about every Sydney suburb is that a mixture of both public and private housing coexists. In the large majority of cases, this mixture of housing coexists both harmoniously and unnoticed. Recently, there have been both international and local examples of where Government has intentionally integrated public and private housing, following redevelopment of former public housing estates, just like One Minto!
