Award winning community, One Minto, reaches 200 land sales’

19 July, 2011 – Landcom’s multi award winning community, One Minto, has achieved a major milestone by reaching 200 land sales since the development’s official opening in 2008.

Home buyers have been quick to snap up land lots upon their release, with the desire to become part of the new community taking shape. 

“One Minto is the perfect place for growing families. There are four primary schools close by and a local high school. For community groups, a new purpose built community centre will soon begin to take shape. These are just some of the facilities that will help support the active and growing One Minto community,” said Robert Sullivan, General Manager Corporate Marketing, Landcom.

When completed, One Minto will provide a variety of recreational opportunities and will completely revitalise the suburb of Minto while still delivering affordable housing in South-west Sydney.

Over $10 million worth of community facilities will be delivered at One Minto, including Valley Vista Reserve and Redfern Park which are already now open. A brand new $2.4 million community centre will be built for local community and church groups with construction to commence later this year.

Land lots are priced from $150,000 to $280,000, sized from 310sqm to 1117sqm, and are now registered and ready to build on. Many of the available lots are located in close proximity to Redfern Park, One Minto’s newest park, which features a state-of-the-art playground, half basketball court, amphitheatre and picnic facilities. A handful of one acre lots are also available and are priced from $415,000.

The next land release for One Minto is scheduled to follow later this year.

In 2010, One Minto won both the NSW Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Affordable Development Award and Urban Taskforce’s Affordable Housing Award.
